FOUNDER

RODRIGO GUTIERREZ

Corialent

12 years ago, Rodrigo decided that the Coca Colas of the world shouldn’t be the only ones who get to have all the fun in the advertising industry. He was sick of all the dull, corporate, navy blue and white B2B work out there. Business people are people too. Corialent specializes in B2B marketing that doesn’t suck. And they want to get the rest of the industry drinking that delicious KoolAid.

Receptionist Skills

Receptionist Skills are critical in a wide variety of fields. If you have ever needed to hire someone to help you with your day-to-day tasks, such as greeting clients, answering phones, and taking messages, then you know that having a receptionist is essential. Receptionists work for both private businesses and larger corporations. Receptionists provide services for sales personnel, waiters/waitresses, and receptionists. Receptionists work with clients in order to keep them happy and informed. While this job description sounds like an easy job, it is not without its difficulties.

It is very important to have strong Receptionist Skills. Receptionists are expected to handle the phones and greet clients, take messages, set up appointments, and more. Receptionists are expected to get people "off the phone" and back on when they have made their telephone calls. Receptionists are also expected to be patient, understanding, and friendly. These Receptionist Skills are what make up the foundation of the successful Receptionist.

The first step to being a Receptionist is to attend a Training Program. There are many professional and trade organizations that offer Receptionist Training. Many times, these training programs can last only a few hours or a few days, but they are very valuable. During these short training sessions, Receptionists learn about the specific tasks they will be required to perform for their clients. These short training sessions are necessary because as a Receptionist, you will not be able to perform all of the tasks that your clients may request.

Once you are hired, you are now responsible for performing many different tasks. You will need to learn how to talk to clients on the phone. You will need to get the client's attention and keep it. You will also be making notes about your client's situation in order to follow up with them when they call to place an order or simply for reference purposes. As a receptionist, you will not just be taking calls. You will also be handling other business dealings with clients, such as sending out invoices and keeping client's files up-to-date.

If you plan to work in a busy office, you will need to learn other skills, as well. Your Receptionist Skills must be able to keep up with all of the client's activities. While you will mostly be working at night, there will be times when your client's life may include office tasks such as meetings, phone calls, ordering supplies, receiving packages, and so much more.

You should always be ready for any situation that may arise. Receptionists have to be able to handle any situation that may occur throughout the day. When something unexpected happens, your Receptionist Skills need to keep your client's mind on the current business at hand. For instance, if your client's car needs to be repaired for some reason, you can drive by their office and hand off the phone to a receptionist. Your Receptionist Skills must be flexible to handle all situations.

Most receptionists are independent workers. This means that they usually work for themselves. However, they need to be properly compensated for their work. In most cases, business owners offer competitive compensation packages for workers such as these who serve as valuable assets to their businesses. Your Receptionist Skills can make a big difference in your bottom line if you are willing to invest the time and effort into learning everything you can about being a receptionist.

There is plenty of information available online on how to become a Receptionist, including tutorials and online courses that can help you get started immediately. If you are interested in being a Receptionist, you should first take the time to study all of the responsibilities that you will be responsible for once you start working for your business owner or business partner. You need to develop your Receptionist Skills so that you can do a wonderful job for your clients. Keep in mind that this will be an ongoing process as you begin to build your career as a Receptionist. When you want to find out more about how to become a Receptionist, you can visit a number of websites that offer Receptionist Training and Receptionist Certification.
